Why are you passionate about your role at Rekroot?
My role at rekroot is 2 fold. First, there is the leadership role within the rekroot team. The team inspires me to be better and to continue to develop my leadership skills. We are a group of strong professionals, each of whom brings a different perspective to the table. I value their opinions and want to continue to lead them to their best professional selves.
My second role is partnering with our clients. I know we are making an impact with their teams and I really enjoy seeing the results that come from our coaching and recruiting services. It is encouraging to see them aspire for greatness and be so open to coaching.
What are three things people don’t know about you?
1. Entrepreneurship is in my blood. I come from a long line of business owners and strong women who were in leadership for a long time. I look up to them for their strength and determination that was built through adversity. 2. I used to ride horses when I was little. I really miss it and want to someday ride my own horse again. 3. I would love to have a French Bulldog play-farm when I retire. I love the breed and want to rescue/foster more so that I can help them find their forever homes while having a great place for them to play!

What did you do before you worked with Rekroot?
I have spent a majority of my professional career in recruiting. I started out working for Careerbuilder, helping small businesses with their hiring needs. From there, I went to work for a staffing firm, which then led me to financial services and recruiting for a specific agency. I worked in that industry for 10 years before co-founding rekroot. I worked both in Chicago and New York, helping my agency with not only recruiting, but I also trained managers and other recruiters on how to recruit better!

If you could have a dream dinner party, who would sit at your table?
It would be a small dinner party, and my first invites would be Sophia Amoruso and Sara Blakely. Both women have grown in their success, yet over social media they come across as so relatable and authentic. I would love the opportunity to listen to how they grew their businesses, maintained their drive, and kept a balance with their work and personal lives!
Why are you passionate about your role at Rekroot?
When someone starts a business, it's usually out of a passion or a need. I believe that for me, rekroot was a blend of both. It started as a need and now has turned more into a passion. I have a huge passion for helping my clients in their professional growth, and seeing them succeed is priceless. When I see my coaching clients grow, I am confident knowing that I have helped me build a skill that will enrich their career. When we place a candidate into the financial services industry, and I see them succeed months & years later... it's incredible to see! The impact one new advisor or leader can make is huge, and knowing that is what keeps me going.

Live in the moment! It will all work out in the end.

I am excited to help candidates find a new career path they may have not thought of yet or explored.
What are three things people don’t know about you?
1. I was an exchange student in high school. 2. I compete in Spartan obstacle races. 3. I am a recent new aunt/godmother...and loving every moment of it!
What did you do before you worked with Rekroot?
I've spent the last 9 years working in retail management.

Slow down; don't rush growing up.
If you could have a dream dinner party, who would sit at your table?
I know a lot of people probably say this but I'd have my family. Specifically, my fiancee' Taylor, my girls (Brennan, Meghan and Mackenzie), my parents (Sandy and Steve), and my siblings and their spouses (sister Jessica and her husband Larry and my brother Steve and his wife Julie)
Why are you passionate about your role at Rekroot?
I'm truly passionate about what I will do at Rekroot because I genuinely love helping people find the right opportunities. There's something rewarding about matching great talent with companies that truly need them-it feels like solving a puzzle that benefits everyone involved. I also enjoy the fast pace and relationship-building side of the role. Every day is different, and I get to use both my instincts and experience to make meaningful connections.
What would you tell your 20-year-old self?
You don't have to have it all figured out right now. And honestly, you never fully will, and that's OK. Stay curious, take the risk even if your voice shakes, and trust that the detours will lead you exactly where you're meant to be. Also, STOP plucking your eyebrows and never EVER lay in a tanning bed!!!
What is your spirit animal and why?
A dog because I'm loyal and energetic and happy to see others succeed. I believe in finding joy in the little things-whether its closing a deal or just sharing a laugh with someone.
